Monte Carlo Ray Point Splatting
In progressSplatting Monte Carlo ray samples into a Cornell box.
An in-progress Monte Carlo light transport experiment. Ray samples are splatted onto the image as points instead of being resolved one pixel at a time, tested on the classic Cornell box with refractive spheres.
What I built
- Path-traced Cornell box with diffuse walls, an area light, and dielectric spheres.
- Sample contributions splatted as points; noise visibly converges as samples accumulate.
